Garcinia cambogia is a plant that is found off the coasts of Indonesia. This plant is said to be a “hidden jewel”. It is shaped like a pumpkin, small in size. The garcinia cambogia thrives in tropical conditions including humid and wet areas. It has been an important part of South Asian diets and medical uses.
This fruit is usually put in South Asian-style dishes, but science has now put garcinia cambogia in a pill. This takes away from nasty fish breath, you would normally experience. Studies on garcinia cambogia show few serious side effects. This is an herbal supplement, so the FDA doesn’t regulate control over this supplement. Symptoms reported vary from nausea, headache, and upset stomach. This has occurred with a higher dosage. Other symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramping. Dosage varies for every person but the usual dosage ranges around 1500 to 3000 milligrams per day. Males should be extra careful because there have been reports of testicular atrophy, as a side effect from high dosage. Your doctors know what dosage you should be taking. Talking to your doctor is important when dealing with herbal supplements.
Many people are not recommended to take garcinia cambogia. Such people include nursing mothers, pregnant women, or women who may become pregnant. This is because garcinia cambogia causes weight loss, and appetite suppression. Anyone who is diabetic should also avoid taking garcinia cambogia. Doctors also recommend children and people with dementia or Alzheimers should not use this herbal supplement.
My research conducted on garcinia cambogia has led me to the conclusion that I would avoid using this product as a weight loss supplement. It shows many side effects that I would not be willing to go through, but everyone is different. You may not experience the side effects listed. The decision is up to you because it is evident this supplement has some good health benefits.
